We visit the Healdsburg area biannually for winetasting and relaxation. We have stayed at other hotels in the area but Hotel Healdsburg has become our favorite place to stay. The location is perfect. We are in the center of town and can easily walk to ;restaurants and shopping. We like staying in a room facing the park. The town is there to greet us in the morning as we open our windows to start a new day. The breakfast is a nice perk. It gets us started for the day. The hotel is pet friendly which is important to us. Our road trips include Stella, a happy frenchie who loves to travel with us. She has come to know the staff and loves their pets and treats. From this location, you can go wine tasting in the Dry Creek Valley, Russian River area, and Geyserville. We have already decide to return in April and will again choose to stay at Hotel Healdsburg. I am a bit fussy and appreciate the hotel is always clean and well kept. They make our stay an easy way to travel.

⸻ We stayed at Hotel Healdsburg for a friend’s birthday and a much-needed ladies’ night away from kids and husbands. The positives: • The room was clean. • We loved the location and the pool area. • Overall, the atmosphere of the hotel was nice. However, there were a few downsides: • We tried to check in early but that wasn’t possible, and even after 3 PM check-in was delayed because the system was slow. • For being one of the most expensive hotels in the area, we expected the rooms to be more spacious and soundproof. Unfortunately, they were smaller than expected, and noise carried easily. The next morning, while we were up early chatting and laughing, we received a knock at the door asking us to quiet down. • It left us feeling that the hotel didn’t match the “luxury” price tag. Overall, while we enjoyed the location and amenities, we expected a more relaxing and private experience given the cost.

Overall we enjoyed our recent stay at Hotel Healdsburg. As with most of our hotel experiences there were some positives and some negatives.|Some Positives:|Great location right on the plaza. Short walk to restaurants, etc.|Service overall (housekeeping, car valet) was generally very good.|Breakfast food was quite good.|Room and bathroom size were good, but... (see negatives)|Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet. |Although our room (3rd floor) faced the plaza we did not find traffic noise to be excessive or bothersome, as. some other reviewers complained about.|Some Negatives:|Although the room and bathroom were of good size they were not designed well from a practical standpoint. For example, the room closet was very small, room safe was in an inconvenient location, no towel racks or storage space in the bathroom. We have encountered this sort of thing in other hotels. It seems that many designers are more interested in "looks" than practicalities.|Breakfast was only served until 10 am. For a hotel which caters largely to people on vacation and are not in a rush to start their day the breakfast should be until 11 am, as we have experienced in other hotels. (full disclosure: we are not "early risers").

I stayed at Hotel Healdsburg two weeks ago with my mother and young son. We had a lovely time during our stay — the staff were kind, the rooms comfortable, and the service lived up to expectations. (Only complaint while there was that I requested a quiet room and we were street facing. It was SO LOUD from 5am but luckily I had a white noise machine.) Unfortunately, shortly after returning home, both my mother and I (in our separate homes) began experiencing clusters of bites. A canine inspection confirmed bedbugs, traced directly to the suitcase I used for our trip. Neither home had a prior history of bedbugs, and no other recent travel could account for this. Treatment for both homes has totaled over $5,000, in addition to missed work and childcare disruptions. I reached out to the hotel directly with documentation and gave them ample opportunity to resolve this as a goodwill gesture. While their replies were courteous, they denied any responsibility, citing no other reports from the room. I understand bedbugs can happen anywhere, even in excellent hotels, and I approached the hotel in good faith. What’s most disappointing is not the initial problem, but the lack of meaningful support afterward. For a stay that cost over $1,800, I expected the hotel to take stronger ownership of guest wellbeing. Travelers should be aware that while the hotel offers a beautiful experience, there are risks, and should consider this when making lodging decisions.

Partner and I stayed 5 nights (Early October) in a "Premier King" room on the 3rd floor facing Healdsburg Avenue. Hotel and room were both pleasantly quiet and clean. Concierge and car valet service both excellent; front desk staff young, distracted and not hugely helpful. Breakfast selection and service both excellent. Lobby bar area serves a subset dinner menu from adjacent Dry Creek Kitchen - so when we didn't feel like a 3 course prix fixe at DCK we noshed in the lobby which was fine. Hotel also hosts small wine tastings in the lobby - I tried a new (to me) vineyard called "Croix" and had the chance to sip some new wines in a very informal setting.||Location is walking distance to a range of good dining options. Also next door to the Plaza square which has shops, and in particular a nice bookstore where I found a good SciFi paperback for flight home.||For hiking - Fitch Mountain an 8 minute drive; Lake Sonoma ~ 20 minutes; and Sugarbush Ridge near Santa Rosa, a 45 minute drive. All easy drives, and passing lovely vineyards to pop into for an impromptu wine tasting. ||All in all, this we found this a low-key and unpretentious option for staying in a very fun part of the world. When next in Healdsburg, would most likely return here.

LOVED this hotel. The staff were lovely. In particular, the valets were awesome. They took our keys, charged our car overnight for FREE, took care of our luggage and were friendly. Great cocktail menu and bar. The hotel is modern and VERY clean. The first thing we noticed about the room was how amazing it smelled. The rooms are HUGE, smell lovely, and the beds are very comfortable. I gave the rooms 4 stars instead of 5 because the bathroom fixtures are in need of some deep cleaning or replacement. The minimalist vibe is cool, but the concrete countertops are starting to show some wear. They left us a ton of ice cold water and a few snacks for free. Don't miss the turn down service, they left us cookies. :o) We regret not being able to stay longer.

Hotel Healdsburg is a lovely hotel. Well located within the town so you can walk to everything. We had a corner room that was quite spacious, well stocked with amenities, and a comfortable king bed. We appreciated the complimentary water (sparkling & flat), chips, and cookies. The vibe of the hotel is California cool, very comfortable and warm. Very friendly service from all staff but concierge Charmaine deserves a special shout-out. Charmaine is a rock star! She arranged a private winery tour for us at the last minute, and made excellent restaurant recommendations. Charmaine's service really enhanced our experience in Healdsburg. Don't hesitate to ask her for suggestions and advice.
