Spent a weekend here so we could enjoy Lake Compounce. The hotel was modern and incredibly clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. It is part of a complex with a Doubletree on one side and a convention space on the other side. Breakfast and parking are included in the reasonable price. There is a kitchenette in the room so you could prepare some basic food items if you were so inclined. Would definitely stay here again.

*PET OWNERS BEWARE* We had numerous issues with this hotel. They advertised online as a $75 pet fee for the first 1-4 nights. I travel a lot and this is pretty standard at most hilton brand hotels, however upon checking in here they advised it is $75 PER PET. I instantly questioned it and they told me they can set their own rules outside of what Hilton does cause they're independently owned.... Whole story didn't make sense to me but I was told I could talk to a manager about it in the morning. That night I took my dogs for a walk around the building. There really isnt much area for pets to even do their business and on the walk around the building I had to pull FOUR dead poisoned mice out of my dogs mouth because they have mice poison bait all around the premises. Clearly there is a mice problem which many deal with in new england this time of year, BUT you need to be responsible with using posion and stay on top of the mice clean up OR do not advertise as pet friendly. My dog could have died if he swallowed those mice. This wasn't even just a one time thing. 4 mice the first night and then 2 the next morning. I took a picture for proof. To be fair, the manager did a decent job when I spoke with her the next morning and told her about the mice and issues with the pet fee. She acknowledged the fee advertised incorrectly, refunded me, and notified maintenance about the mice. She handled it so well that I wasn't even going to leave this poor review until...I got home and checked my bank account to find that after I checked out, paid, and left they went and charged ANOTHER pet fee!!!! Absolutely unreal. I called and was told the manager will be in Wednesday. Not good enough. I called corporate and got my refund and left a terrible review with them too. I've been such a loyal hilton customer for so many years between personal and business travel. I've had years I've reached gold and diamond status. I always recommend hilton brand hotels. For me to leave this review, they really really messed up. So many serious concerns from the health and safety of pets on that premises to double charging/over charging. Hope you guys figure it out cause the rooms are actually really nice and I was excited to hear of a Home2 going in so close to where I go to visit family.

Very warm and welcoming, easily accommodated a room request. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and VERY quiet. I felt very safe with my family in the room with the steel door and steel locks. I also felt safe knowing that you have to use a card to access the elevator. This hotel is not built cheap. The walls do not let any sounds through and if someone is waking above you it is very faint, unlike so many other hotels where you can tell there is no sound barrier between you and the floor above you. The Lobby is filled with lots of light, different places to sit and very open. Breakfast is eight out of 10 stars. I would only recommend that the ad some good organic scrambled eggs and maybe some healthy granola bars for people who don’t have time to sit and eat. The pool is located across the crosswalk in the other hotel, but it wasn’t a problem. The only other issue was one of the elevators card reader wasn’t working several times. It was promptly fixed, but maybe the elevator company across the street should take a look at it.

Our room was spacious, with a curtain to separate the sleeping area from the couch and kitchenette. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast is included in the room rate. Our first breakfast was so-so; we arrived late in the meal time and our eggs and sausage were cold. The second morning's breakfast (Sunday) was very different, with excellent hot selections and plenty of options. ||The room is fine for business travel, with ample workspace and plenty of outlets.

When we pulled into the parking lot, my kids said, "Are you sure this is the right place? It looks too expensive for us." This hotel is very nice, the rooms were clean, the mattresses were SO comfortable. Breakfast was good, with staff constantly refilling food and cleaning up. The parking lot was well paved and easy to access. Best of all, you can book adjoining rooms with ease (we have 6 children and this is a necessity). Only downside is the pool is located in the hotel next door, its about a hundred foot walk from one to the other, and a minor roadway to cross. You have to get a access card from the front desk BEFORE going over (we did not know this).

I thought the staff were almost universally fantastic. The housekeepers were great and the young woman who ran the front desk in the mornings was great too. I want to especially mention Daisy who was wonderful. My issues were with the room. Trim was separating from the wall exposing brad nails and even though they say free wifi it isn't. If you want to actually use it you have to pay extra. I brought my son's tablet and he couldn't use it. I also found it frustrating to have to get a key to use the pool in the hotel next door especially when they ran out of keys. Finally the parking is horrible. There just aren't enough spaces.

Decent place to lodge. Double Tree and a convention center are located here as well. Clean updated suite rooms greet you. Concierge was pleasant and professional. The free breakfast was the draw to the hotel. However, key menu items were not available when I came down to dine at 8:45am ,- Belgian waffle batter. Lily the cook, was rude and unprofessional when I asked for coffee, which had run out. She felt it was necessary to raise her voice and throw her arms up as she informed me she's one person working alone. Overall, it was decent one night stay. The breakfast may leave you disappointed as they might not have items available.

What a gem! Our go-to home away from home when visiting Lake Compounce. Kids love the indoor pool and free hot breakfast. Rooms spacious and clean.
