Great local pizza place with old Florida feel. Friendly staff, delicious pizza, affordable prices!

We have driven by this location many times and always saw the parking lot full. Today we decided to stop for lunch to try the pizza. All we can say is Wow!! We ordered crispy bottom double cut pizza with mushroom and they actually knew what that meant. Our waitress, Nadine, was so special and really was a part of the fabric of the restaurant. Nadine came by the table to a serve meatball sub to another patron and she showed us. I asked her on the way back if we could order a side of them. She brought them out in the marinara sauce. Awesome!!! Meatballs soft, fluffy & perfectly seasoned with a lovely marinara. Ronnie was in control of the pizza ovens. Was so engaging. We definitely will go back and can’t wait to try the Homosassa location soon. We hear the angel hair with chicken Frances’s is amazing in the Homosassa location. It was the first time I was there and wanting to try their pizza based on recommendations. Pizza was good, but still not NY style I was accustomed to. That's not a slight, just a preference. I also had the Stromboli which was very good and it was enormous. I should have only have eaten half of it, but it was so tasty I couldn't stop myself. One of the better pizzerias/Italian restaurants I've been to here in Citrus.

Not only is it the best pizza in Citrus but the service is great, and the prices are super reasonable. We have been to the crystal river and homosassa locations numerous times and never once had a bad meal or even anything to complain about. You cannot find a better meal for cheaper anywhere around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Came here for what was advertised as NY Pizza. Being a NYer this pizza was far from any NY pizza. Sauce is incredibly bland and cheese is overfilled to accommodate the lack of sauce flavor. When picking up the pizza the place was incredibly uncomfortable with other customers right up in your personal space with any disregard. By far the most uncomfortable atmosphere when picking up any pizza I’ve ever ordered. When finally getting to eating the pizza the over amount of cheese felt like a cheese and bread pizza as the flavor from their sauce was nonexistent. After trying out many pies in the area, Marianas was by far the closest we got to a NY style pizza. Sauce was incredible and not overlapped with tons of cheese. If you want a great pie that will taste the closest to a NY pizza Marianas is the way to go. It’s only 3-4 mins away from Morschellos 2. Terrible experience will never be back.
