Good Morning everyone!! I wanted to let you know that we have retrieved our son’s bike 🚲 back with the help of the Plantation Police Department. They did an amazing job!! A special thank you and shoutout to Officer Correa she was the one of the original officers that was there when my son was robbed near Fig Tree park. And last night Friday 4/11/2025 while she was finishing her shift made she made sure to stick around and help guide us with communicating with us on the phone while getting a team of officers together to help catch these guys! She was great!🤩 👮 so again Thank you officer Correa and to the whole Plantation Police Department that was out there last night! We appreciate your help and hard work!! 👮🏼💪👮🏽‍♂️🚨 🚔 ❤️🙏

Dear Plantation Police Department, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the professionalism and compassion shown by one of your officers during a recent incident involving my wife. On October 17, 2024, my wife was pulled over for speeding by a Plantation police officer. At the time, she did not explain that she was in the middle of a medical emergency — she is pregnant, and was experiencing symptoms that led her to believe something was seriously wrong. She was urgently trying to get to the emergency room. Approximately 10–15 minutes after being pulled over, she arrived at the ER and was immediately rushed to a room. The doctors later informed us that had she arrived any later, both her life and our unborn child’s life could have been in serious danger due to a placental abruption. The next day, I contacted the officer to explain the situation. He was incredibly polite, understanding, and expressed that he wished she had informed him at the time. Ultimately, the officer kindly dismissed the ticket, which significantly relieved our stress during an already overwhelming moment. We deeply appreciate the empathy and understanding shown by your department. This experience reminded us how important compassion is in policing, and we are truly thankful for the way this situation was handled. With sincere thanks, Tiger Huynh

Plantation Police Department, I want to give the most sincere thanks and appreciation to officer Romero and officer Barfield. They both have done the most and have gone above and beyond for my dog. They both helped him and took him to a vet when he had his leg broken and made sure he was okay. Saw him in the streets and made sure to take him to a safe place. Thank you !!!! I hope to give you both thanks in person one day.

I’m just assuming based off of personal experience that this department has had some very crooked officers along with broward sheriffs office. The officers I spoke with seemed confused on what is legal and what is not. There was a lack of drive and work ethic that has left me very sad. I need protection and justice it is not being given to me. I as an adult chose to advocate and go to the cops about an unjust incident. The way that south Florida cops treated me as a young white women with a black man is very cruel. I was made fun of and humiliated. I was from out of town and knew very little. I believe they enjoy pain and suffering. I have little hope in Florida’s chain of command due to efforts to seek justice for my own self. I come from a middle class family and have been treated as good as trash by this department. I suggest that said officers begin to take the time to sympathize while working, and gain knowledge of what type of crime people are being sued for, arrested for, and put to death for. Evil is alive. Learning to take the time with individuals that may not be like the others they have been called to. It is important that the backer act is not used and abused due to police laziness and lack of intervention. I am still reaping the repercussions of there negligence almost 10 years later. There was no resolve of the phone call. The officers will not turn there back on there coworkers. There officers look out for each other and bat a blind eye to screams for help from the public. It is not in there best interest to work my case, so they will not work my case.

The officers and unofficial a lot of them like you and I think they got so you’re nothing but police officer they all do just sit in the 711 I’m giving a free drink and watch the homeless begging front of them when come to people pay taxes and do on businesses. They just mess with them because tried to collect a couple dollars for tickets. That sucks.
